A small Cornwall-based paradise aiming to assist collectors.

Our founder has had a keen interest in collecting since a very young age and to this day has a large, diverse collection.

As a 90s kid, our founder had the lucky chance of growing up during the Lego and TCG boom bringing some of the greatest Lego Star Wars sets created and the rapid growth of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

During his primary school years he was an avid collector of Lego Star Wars sets. This was primarily due to his classmates and friends having such large Lego collections themselves. It was further fuelled by the release of the Star Wars Episodes II and III. His interests then began to diversify into TCGs with Yu-Gi-Oh!, mostly thanks to the animated tv series.

His passion grew greatest with the release of the Doctor Who: Battles in Time TCG release. Our founder followed the tv series closely and was subscribed to the TCG magazine. His passion for collecting exploded when he opened a pack of the Battle in Time cards in WHSmith and pulled the Super Rose chase card. Lenticular in style, with a gold backing, our founder had never seen anything so fantastic. The experience of opening the rarest card was one he has been chasing since.

The years following, he gathered items such as chase trading cards, original transformers figures, sought after video games and anything he could to establish a large collection.

During Covid, our founder dabbled in the trade and sale of some of his collection and realised that he had a knack for it all while being able to expand and diversify his collection further. He developed a reputation as a trusted seller boasting a wide variety of items and still does to this day. Our founder had now found a way to expand his collection and help other to either start or complete theirs.

Timeline:

  • April 2022: Birth of an idea

    The idea of turning collecting into a proper hobby came to be as he wished to share his collection with other collectors. The first sale was made through Ebay.

  • 2022: Decanty Branding

    Following his passion in collecting aftershaves, our founder wished to combine his collection of collectables with his aftershave collection leading to the expansion of the Decanty branding.

  • December 2022: Expansion of a Hobby

    The successful sale and trade of various items in a short period of time led to the expansion of the hobby and the desire to expand online presence.

  • 2023: Expansion Continues

    With a steady level of sales, our founder begins to realise the potential of assisting others with starting or completing their collections as Decanty’s reputation begins to grow. He also diversifies from Lego and Pop! Vinyls by dealing with stamps and both international and British coins.

  • August 2023: Disney Lorcana Launch

    Having waited a while for its release, Lorcana leads to our founder entering into the Trading Card Game (TCG) scene with a big bang as he purchases enough product to acquire over 3000 cards in total from the first and second sets and opened the chase card, enchanted Elsa: Spirit of Winter

  • 2024: Further Expansion and Re-branding

    Our founder continues to juggle the challenges of life, such as university, family and work while growing his passion for collecting. Our founder comes to the realisation that Decanty no longer suits the brand leading to a branding change to Hoardz with reference to viking treasure a “hoard”.

  • January 2025: Re-branding…again

    Realising Hoardz looks as if it had been created by a teenager and that it does not have the class or sound our founder is looking for, he re-brands once more to Plutus Treasury, in relation to the Greek god Plutus, the god of wealth.
